The New Year brings an opportunity to improve oneself. I am taking this opportunity to bring a new approach to my paintings by bringing more color to my paintings. I want to broaden my approach and engage the viewer to react and form an opinion of the work.
Painting with lots of color is challenging and excites me to improve my work. I recently read a quote from Vincent Van Gogh that resonated with me. He said, " Color in a picture is like enthusiasm in life"
Exploring the web I discovered several artist that I like. Marla Beggetta and Loriann Signori. Both painters have highly developed use of color. Check out their web sites.
