Painting in a series

This week in Linda Packard's pastel class the challenge was to paint in a totally different way all while using the same photo. Here are my pastel paintings.

I chose a photo of The Old County Road near my house to paint. This abstract
is completely different from anything I have painted.

This is the original photo of The Old County Rd.

This is the second attempt of a pastel that need some cropping
to help in the composition. It is successful as 3 small paintings.

This is the final pastel in my series of The Old County Road.
I think it was a successful series.
