Sandy Point Plein Air Painting

The Plein Air Thursday group (PAT) painted on Friday because of rain. We all headed for Sandy Point to discover the beauty of the coast of Maine. Only one member of the group, Fred, couldn't make it. We all missed Fred.
We packed the cars after meeting in the Shaws parking lot at 9am and hit the road in a caravan of vehicles. We arriven in Sandy Point  approximately at 9:45am. Liz had coffee and coffee cake waiting for us. The group then looked for the perfect painting spot each finding the one that provided inspiration.  We painted for a few hours and then headed in for lunch.....this group can paint and they can cook! What a feast we had....Chicked salad, egg salad, pasta salad, develed eggs, fruit salad all very yummy. After Lunch it was time for linda's Birthday. We sang, we ate cake and watched as linda tried to identify the artist of the paintings on her card.
After another painting sesson we had a critique and headed out on a field trip to the beach and cousin Julie's new place. The weather was so beautiful  with a cool breeze, nobody wanted to leave. But alas the day was done.

The following paintings are incomplete...just a beginning.
